Episode 37: Contracts & Plant Contacts

Our episode opened with our heroes being chased through the streets of Brilfax by Eleazar's monstrous, psychic form as they made their way to their ship. A mostly successful skill check challenge resulted in no casualties on The Devourer and minimal damage (-200 HD; updated current HD 1470). Ariessa and Ignatius, however, were liberated from the hold of the ship by The Remnant of Orcus

The captain of the town guard, Captain Alexander, met the party at The Devourer and informed them that Mayor McGreggin of Fairview, Lady Katherine of Solas, and Queen Gabriella of Glynndarryl had responded to messages and confirmed the party's heroic claims. He offered his apologies and gratitude.

That night, Lucky and Sankara watched the rest of The Incredible Bim's show at The Damori Theatre after an extended intermission. Of course it was spectacular. Because of watching the show, Sankara and Lucky have advantage on one charisma check during a social interaction. Gallogk care for those injured by the street rampage of Eleazar and garnered two additional followers for Tyr. Bjorn aided the town guards in cleaning up the damage from the explosion at the jail. Although his investigation efforts were unsuccessful, he was able to make a lasting impression on the town guards. One in fact decided that maybe he wasn't going to be racist against dwarves anymore

After their separate activities that night, the party reconvened at The Half & Half Racing Inn. Eight greater healing potions were delivered to the party and all expenses incurred at the inn were covered by the town, courtesy of Lord Thadar Damori. As drinks were being had at the inn, Kipperlily Everpetal showed up to speak more with Lucky after he sent her a message by way of the town guard. After dropping his clandestine persona, Topanga, he revealed that he and the party were looking to be a force for good in Eternum (but did not reveal the true nature of The Sliver). Ms. Everpetal sensed that there was more of a story here than met the eye. She ended the conversation by saying she would aid Lucky and the party with information should the party continue to prove themselves to Brilfax as her upmost priority lies in the betterment of the people of Brilfax

The following morning the party took in the sights of The Ravani Vineyards. Sankara, used his ability to speak with plants to check in on the vines. Aside from a cryptic "The wolves try to rip us up by the roots, but the bears protect us" the conversation was pleasant and ended with Sankara vibing and dancing with the plants much to the vineyard security detail's curiosity.  Sankara used his druid craft to miraculously increase the growth of a huge section of the vineyard. Theodore was astounded and wanted to speak more with Sankara about a potential agreement after the food and wine festival in three days

During the wine tasting, Fearne and Lucky caught a brief moment together while she was taking in the sunlight and fresh air. Mid-conversation, Fearne abruptly stops and goes rigid, eyes eyes turned back in her head, she mumbled "Lady in the lake. Lady in the water" over and over. She snapped out of this trance without memory of anything having happened.

The party left the vineyards to keep their appointment with Bim in his dressing room at The Damori Theater. Lucky pissed off Elliot and was caught trying to pickpocket his coin purse. Bim asks the party what the plan is. Sankara tells Bim that there is a very important noble in Glynndarryl that has heard of his talents and would like to meet him. Bim is intrigued but reminds that party that he is under contract and refuses to skip town and sacrifice his reputation as a performer. The options he laid before the party were: burn down the theater and blame it on ROO terrorism, convince Donovan Damori (owner of the theater and brother to Lord Thadar Damori) to let Bim out of his contract, or to find a replacement act since the Food & Wine Festival is three days away

The session ended with our heroes and Bim knocking on the door of Donovan Damori's office.

The clock is always ticking. Twelve days until Bur Boldor's supplies run dry.
