Episode 13: Solas United?
It was discovered that Othorion hired the assassins that stormed Katherine's gala a week ago. Burdened with this information, the party then had to decided what to do with Vexhalia and Vax, the twin assassins they'd captured. They were brought to Katherine's estate and the party informed her of who was responsible for the (almost successful) attempt on her life. Katherine's political gears began to turn as to what this could mean for the Solarum and her future in Solas. Afterward, the party met with Nayana in the Aquatic Under City to inform her of the night's events and the location of the assassins. Furious, but steeled, she "thanked" them for the information and left her chamber.
The following day, Bjorn finally receives a letter back from Delilah Applebottom in Bur Bolder. The cities defense are holding, but for how long?
Dignitaries and socialites of Solas gathered in the Solarum to hear our heroes' opinion on the political state. Just when it would appear that this meeting would go off without a hitch, chaos broke out shortly after it was revealed that Othorion was responsible for the assassination attempt. Othorion brought no defense only that what he'd done he'd done out of "love for Solas and the 700 years [he had] served these people". Nayana cut his words short with an outburst of water and shattered glass that would have drowned and sliced him to shreds had it not been for anti-magic field safeguards.
The future of Solas was decided. The party's official recommendation was: Katherine and Nayana lead Solas as a partnership. As Othorion was taken into custody and Nayana was excorted out of the chamber, Katherine stood over the Solarum, now more curt and political as ever-- a contrast to the charm she'd displayed at her gala. Her last words were that she'd be certain that the divine has "it's place" in Solas.
The episode ends with the party following a lead to aid Fearne Twolip which leds them to the newly created Fey Forest-- the product of arcance fey magic gone wild at the ill equipped hands of Fearne.
