Our party continued to debate who should lead the city of Solas-- Othorion, Katherine, or Nayana. Each with their strengths and drawbacks, it proved to be a discussed that needed more time than they evening of the gala allowed. 

The party used the following week to garner the support of the elite of Solas. After a fantastic skill check challenge of diplomacy and social engineering, the party won enough support to ensure enough pressure on the Solarum to honor whatever recommendations the party offered. 

A loose end that our heroes wanted to tie up was the matter of the assassins. The assassin that was detained at the gala confessed that the Assassins Guild was paid to kill the Solarum. If that was so, then who was paying? Further interrogation revealed the location of the Assassins Guild to be an unmarked grave in the Solas Cemetary, a white handprint the only distinguishing mark. After speaking, "The Night Mother Welcomes You", the party gained access to the guild below ground. 

A fight ensured between the guild and its leaders, Vexalia and Vax, and our heroes. With Lucky and Bjorn falling to poison damage, the battle seemed dire. However, the party emerged victorious. They uncovered more treasure, but most valuable of all was Gallogk's Zone of Truth on Vax which revealed that it was none other than Othorion who had hired the Assassins Guild!

More answers beget more questions. 

What was Othorion's true motive? What will the party do with this information? Is this the last we've seen of the Assassins Guild?
